‘Kitne Pakistan’ by Kamleshwar

Noted Hindi writer and screenwriter Kamleshwar’s novel ‘Kitne Pakistan’ was published in 2000, for which she won the 2003 Sahitya Akademi Award. The novel touches upon the themes of allegory and realism, nationalism, Hindutva, and communalism. Kamleshwar was also a pioneer of the Nayi Kahani movement of the 1950s.
