To overcome the extreme sickness, she revealed in a podcast Happy Mum, Happy Baby, she resorted to hypnobirthing techniques of mindfulness and meditation.

In the 2020 podcast, the Princess told the host Giovanna Fletcher: “I’m not going to say that William was standing there sort of, chanting sweet nothings at me.

“He definitely wasn’t. I didn’t even ask him about it, but it was just something I wanted to do for myself.

“I saw the power of it really, the meditation and the deep breathing and things like that, that they teach you in hypnobirthing, when I was really sick, and actually I realised that this was something I could take control of, I suppose, during labour. It was hugely powerful.”

The Queen’s beloved 500 Words competition aiming to promote a love of literature in children aged 5-11 by encouraging them to write their own stories was brought back after three years when Camilla intervened.

The i newspaper reports that the Queen was the one who first toyed with the idea of bringing it back – with the backing of Chris Evans, the former BBC radio DJ who launched the competition back in 2011.

A source told the outlet: “The Queen initiated contact with the BBC, and Director-General Tim Davie put the full weight of the BBC behind reviving the competition, moving it from radio to TV and exposure on The One Show and BBC Breakfast.”

Judge and Fast Show comic Charlie Higson said: “She’s been a huge supporter of this, really keen on promoting literacy. And it was really down to her that the competition came back, she twisted a few arms and said ‘Look, this is a really good thing, you’ve got to carry on.’”

The Prince of Wales is waiting for the Duke of Sussex to “be part of the gang again”, Kate Middleton‘s uncle Gary Goldsmith claimed on Wednesday’s episode of Celebrity Big Brother.

It comes after the businessman, who is the brother of the Princess of Wales’s mother, made critical remarks about Prince Harry and the Duchess of Sussex.

“Harry was really, really loved. When they were a threesome – so Kate, William and Harry – they looked really comfortable together,” Goldsmith said on Tuesday.

A panel featuring Meghan the Duchess of Sussex came together on International Women’s Day to discuss how women and mothers are portrayed in traditional media and across social media, among other issues.

The panel was part of the annual SXSW (South by Southwest) being held through March 16 in Austin, Texas, and also included actor, model and author Brooke Shields, journalist Katie Couric and sociologist Nancy Wang Yuen.

Meghan — responding to a report on how mothers are portrayed in the media — said the report found that working mothers are paid 62 cents to the dollar to what working fathers are paid.

During the annual SXSW Conference, Meghan, 42, said that even though social media sites are “making dollars, it doesn’t make sense”, emphasising the “negative effect” on mental health and physical safety.
